20 years ago, God’s children howled and wept. We grieved the tremendous loss of life on a day that changed our world. We also came to a greater understanding of God’s children who call the divine by another name. God is both the one brooding over the chaos and the one creating all things and calling them good. Because God is God, we can come with our mixed feelings and our questions, our anxieties, and our hopes. Because God is God, we can bring our messy selves and our upside-down world to the one who can make them good again. May you feel our good God, amid the chaos and calm, holding you this day and every day.
