Fund RestrictionA. A scholarship or scholarships for programs of undergraduate or graduate study granted by the Board, giving priority to students in graduate programs, to develop Presbyterian leadership through laymen majoring in natural and physical sciences, medicine, agriculture, business, law, or any other field related to these, to be awarded to Presbyterian qualified students enrolled at the University of Illinois.
B. In the event that a qualified student, or qualified students, cannot be found at the University of Illinois to fill such scholarship or scholarships, then programs as specified under A above at the following universities, in order of preference starting with the highest, as then rated by the North Central Association or its successor: the University of Wisconsin, University of Indiana, University of Iowa, Ohio State University, University of Michigan, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, Northwestern University, Purdue University, or Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas.
C. A scholarship or scholarships, as specified under A above, to be awarded (in the event qualified Presbyterian applicants cannot be found) to students belonging to other protestant denominations that are in correspondence with the General Assembly of the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of America, or its successor, as well as, and in addition to, any joint, merged, or other protestant denominations of which the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of America may become a member or part by merger.
D. The term qualified student as used in this trust shall be a student fulfilling the requirements of the Board’s graduate or undergraduate scholarship program, whose need shall be established by the University Scholarship Committee, or the Board, and who shall be a student in good academic standing.
