The income to be paid to The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons, New York, to be used for a young man or woman from the congregation entering the Christian ministry or full time service in Christian education, as designated by the said Church, but if there be no such person from The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons, New York, [FPC relinquished their rights in 1980] then I direct that the income be made available to another worthy person from any other Presbyterian Church as designated by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America.

For the self-development of needy people in Appalachia or elsewhere if the need is greater.

Provide college level scholarships to such young men and women as it considers worthy, eligible, competent and qualified to receive college level instructions. The scholarships, or scholarship, be given not necessarily to the child or children with the highest marks in school, but rather to such child or children most interested in pursuing his or her education. No scholarship is to exceed Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500) each year. No individual child shall receive more than four (4) annual scholarship grants.

To be used by the National Committee on the Self-Development of People of the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of America for use at the discretion of said Committee (for the Self Development of People program of the appropriate General Assembly agency).
