To be devoted to the publication of (- but not necessarily by the Presbyterian Mission Press in Shanghai, – the Ye-su Giao Weh Dah, (i.e.) The Mandarin Catechism of which I am the author) my Tract called Hung Shin Shiu Dao: and My Tract on Borrowing: together with the Wen-li and Mandarin versions of the life of Dr. John L. Nevius; and also such books of which Dr. Nevius was the author as there shall be even a limited demand for. Should any of the above mentioned books, or others of which my husband and I were the authors not prove salable books, I still their publication continued, and that they may be gratuitously distributed, – preference being given in the Shantung Province, and the regions where Dr. Nevius formerly worked, – but the distribution not to be confined to those places. On the contrary, I wish these books to be given gratuitously, – if they cannot be sold to the various missions in China, should such missions desire them, of all countries and denominations. I appoint the male members of the Chefoo Station of which I am a member to be the Trustees of this Fund. Last however I may not have the legal right to make this appointment, after having already given this money to the PBFM of the USA I do hereby request the said Board to appoint the male members of the Chefoo Station, – of which I am a member to be the Trustees of this Fund.
